“Basically it came from a corny rumor that escalated,” Shanell said in an interview. “First I was dating him, then I was his girlfriend, then we were getting married, then we were settling down and now I’m pregnant. It’s so foolish we’ve haven’t paid it any attention…All the rest of the rumors were kinda funny except that one. When my mother called me like, ‘Um?,’ [I was] like, ‘No! Are you serious?’ I don’t care about the rumors, but I just want people to know that I’m not pregnant. I’ve got an album coming out, I’m a dancer, I’m in shape and children are not anywhere in my future.” (MTV)
Wayne on the rumors:
“Let me clear up this rumor, man. Shanell is not pregnant from me,” Wayne explained via UStream over the weekend. “Shanell isn’t even pregnant! Period. Clear that up right now, man. Everybody talking about Shanell pregnant by — No, she not even pregnant. Period.” (UStream)

Word on the net is that Jay and AK are going to perform “Empire State of Mind” at Yankee Stadium to kick off game 1 of the World Series.

Status report on The Game’s forthcoming album The R.E.D.:
Dubcnn has exclusive news on Game’s fourth studio album The R.E.D. Album. First off, note that the correct reference to his name is now Game, it is no longer The Game. As for the album, the release date is currently set for December 8, but there is a chance that it may slip by one week. You can expect the first street single from the album as early as next week. The track is called “Crazy” and features Gucci Mane with production by Timbaland. The first mainstream single from the album will be serviced next week also. It is entitled “L.A. Girl” and features Chris Brown. The track was produced by Pharrell. Other guest appearances on the album include Akon, Diddy, Young Jeezy, Rick Ross and Beanie Sigel. The rest of the production was handled by Akon, Pollow da Don, Cool & Dre and DJ Khalil. (Dubcnn)

A small amount of DNA may have changed the landscape of the case, according to a report by the Associated Press. There is a “minuscule” amount of the rapper’s DNA on the gun, reports say, and that has strengthened the case for the prosecution.
Another hearing is set to resume tomorrow, where the rapper will reportedly announce his next move.

According to Rolling Stone, Shyne says he never received a phone call from Mr. Combs. Uh, Puff… You had a good run while he was locked up, but im sure the truth is going to come out now.
“I want it known that this supposed conversation is a figment of Sean Combs’ imagination,” he says in a statement. “He never spoke with me, he never visited me nor would I ever accept a phone call or visit from him. The only way I would do either of those things would be if he stepped up and did the right thing for the victims of the incident.”
