To mark the 13th Anniversary of Biggie’s passing, Diddy takes a trip to BK to celebrate the life of the legend.
“I’m going to Brooklyn. It’s gonna be the first time I’m throwing a party in Brooklyn. I’m from Harlem. Everybody in Harlem knows you don’t usually go over the bridge to Brooklyn. It’s a big, big deal. Me being such a Harlemite, I’m going over there to pay respect to my man. It’s gonna be a big party in Brooklyn with Mister Cee. It’s a big day. It’s a day to celebrate his life. It’s a day to celebrate the life of the man. We done did the movie, the records. It’s something that, I guess, as a label we’re obsessed with: making sure people don’t forget about this man in a positive way. March 9 is Biggie Day. … Bump Biggie all day, feel good and positive.“
“We’ve just been doing little things together. If it organically grows into something, that’s cool. But it’s not no master plan for something else bigger than that.”
Part 2: Talks about being selective with the records he agrees to appear on. Promises that ‘There Is No Competition 2′ will drop by the end of the week. He says he just got verses from Nicki Minaj, Trey Songz, Jadakiss for the mixtape. There will be a few original beats on it. Then he denies rumors of him and Adrienne Bailon dating.
Part 3: Answers caller’s texts/emails. Again, Fab stresses that the mixtape will drop by the end of the week.
“I don’t know [if it was actually the gunman] ’cause I didn’t even see who shot me,” Flocka responded sarcastically when asked about his thoughts on the photo. “I thought a dog shot me. I thought a bird shot me. It’s stupid.”
Here is part 1 of a brief interview that we had with Drizzy, who performed at the Sprite Step Off Show in Atlanta this weekend. We spoke to him on his upcoming debut, Thank Me Later and what we can expect. The significance of the video is when he references a certain legend in Hip Hop that he studied for the album. And if you’re wondering, that’s Ludacris who he is shaking hands with. – ImFlashy

At Jay-Z & LeBron’s 4th annual All-Star weekend “Two Kings” dinner, MTV asked Jay why he (wisely) chose not to participate in the We Are The World remake.
I have a interesting take on that. I know everybody is gonna take this wrong: “We Are the World,” I love it, and I understand the point and think it’s great. But I think “We Are the World” is like “Thriller” to me. I don’t ever wanna see it touched. I’m a fan of music. I know the plight and everything that’s going on in Haiti. I applaud the efforts. Like 1 out of 2 Americans donated through text to Haiti. That’s amazing. So I appreciate the efforts and everything, but “We are the World” is untouchable like “Thriller” is untouchable. Some things are just untouchable. It was a valiant effort, but for me, it’s gonna be untouchable.
Jay said he felt that a new song should have been written instead:
I would have loved that idea better. I have tremendous respect for Quincy Jones. Of course, I think he’s genius, as everyone else does. But I think it’s time for us to make a new song, our take on it… I tried to do that with “Stranded” [the song Jay, Rihanna and U2's Bono and The Edge premiered at the 'Hope for Haiti Now' telethon.]
Nipsey Hussle mentioned to XXL that he heard Jay-Z & Eminem had gone to the recording before he got there, so it seems like they gave it a chance before turning it down.
