Here’s a previously unreleased interview with Guru filmed in 2008-2009 by Matt Hobbs of Vital Films. It features interview and freestyle clips as well as footage of Guru visiting kids in the Denever Juvenile Detention system.
Says Matt about the footage:
Back in late 2008 and early 2009 we had the the biggest privilege to be able to spend some time with Guru before he passed away. At the time we did not know he had such a shot time left with the world, it just was the biggest opportunity we ever imagined to be apart of. After his passing, we respectively sent all the footage to his family and assumed that we would never put the content out. But now that its been a few years, we feel obligated to share everything that Guru opened up to us…to you.
We’re truly honored and privileged to present Guru, in one more “Moment Of Truth”.

Detroit-based electro house duo AUBRN + JAFAR is already making noise with their single “Moment” released in early December. The Michigan natives are no strangers to music production and have a solid track record to prove it. AUBRN spent the last decade producing hip hop and in more recent years had worked with artists like Waka Flocka, Dorrough Music and Kalyko. When he teamed up with long-time friend and producer JAFAR, the outcome was no surprise. The duo’s follow up single is slated for an early 2013 release.
