Action Bronson’s 10 Best Collabos of 2013 (So Far)

We’re officially halfway through 2013 and it’s safe to say your man Bam Bam has solidified his spot as one of the most entertaining and prolific MCs putting it down right now. We decided to collect a 10 spot of some of his best collaborations since the top of the year, and in doing so we came across over 20 individual tracks featuring the Queens MC and at least one other rapper. I can honestly say I don’t believe there was one wack verse out of the bunch, but we believe the following 10 are the clear standouts from this six month window of the Queens MCs ever growing catalog.

Tyga On Nas & Nicki Minaj Collabos

Who’s the world is this? Well weeks back, Tyga hinted that Nas would appear on his album, Careless World. In an interview with XXL, Tyga spoke on how the track with Esco came about. Excited aren’t we?

“Yeah man, I sent Nas a song like six months ago and I never heard back from him but out of the blue, he called me like, ‘Yo, you doing your thing. I want to be a part of what you doing, I like everything you doing. Keep working hard. I sent him the ‘Kings and Queens’ that night and he did it the next day. I was like, that shit is crazy. Nas always talks that shit. The song, man, [his bars] added the cherry on top. It’s a real classic song. People are gonna like it. I wanna think of a dope video. The storyline of the song, the whole King and Queens [theme], it’s motivational.”

He also discussed his Nicki Minaj featured track.

“The song for Nicki is called ‘Muthafucka Up”. I don’t know what they gonna call it on the radio. Maybe they might call it ‘Up.’ That one is one of them going in type songs. Like how Wayne had ‘A Milli.’ One of those Young Money records that people love. We got a crazy visual for that one, too. I don’t wanna give it away. I’ve been doing a lot of features for everyone.”

“I’m on [Young Jeezy’s] TM 103 joint [and] Estelle. I just did something for Bow Wow. [I’m] waiting for this joint from Drake, [Styles P] just finished his album, I’m on there. I’m just creeping through the back door on big projects. Getting that buzz up before I let the album out. It gotta feel right before I let my album out. I’m not rushing.”

While fans can also expect a fourth installment of The Champ Is Here mixtape series. Like the previous release, he wants to plan it around a major boxing match.

“I was trying to schedule that whenever the [Manny] Pacquio fight comes, try to knock a few joints out, or the next biggest fight,” he said. “But yeah, we gonna keep the joints coming. The Champ is Here is just like Rocky—it’s timeless. We gonna do the Champ series for a long time; as long as my vocals are right.”
