Kanye’s engineer Mike Dean gives details on Watch The Throne
Though it’s a pretty lengthy and boring interview unless you’re a serious music nerd, this clip sheds some light on Jay x Kanye’s upcoming album, Watch The Throne. Mike Dean, who works closely with Ye, says the project is near complete and he co-produced a good 4-5 tracks from the project. Apparently, someone else attempted to mix the album first and failed to meet expectations. Dean may end up mixing the entire project
Another interesting bit is Mike saying he never records in studios anymore to avoid leaks. They just strap a hard drive to carrier and send them on a plane to get records from one another.
