Last night, Saturday Night Live probably had their best 30 mins of programming that I’ve seen in years. After kicking things off with their Jeremy Lin skit, Maya Rudolph and Jay Pharaoh starred as Beyonce and Jay-Z in a for-real, laugh-out-loud segment about the power couple’s celeb buddies coming to see baby Blue Ivy Carter for the first time. The rest of the cast filling in as Prince, Taylor Swift, LL Cool J, Bon Iver (played by Justin Timberlake), Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie and Nicki Minaj took this to another level. Watch it for yourself above.

Nas: “I grew up in the projects, we were always trying to throw parties in the neighborhood. Usually a girl whose parents were out of town. That was always the play…We had the speakers, drinks, no lights on, sweaty…”
I’m a huge fan of VICE’s video content, it looks great, well-edited, concise, and always a unique angle on diverse topics. And I had the best time with the VICE and Mini Cooper crew when we teamed up for a trip to a drive-in movie theater for their Wanderlust series. Their latest series, to promote the film Project X (opening Mar.2), is a series called “Party Legends”…where they’ve asked celebs to share their craziest party memory. Genius!
This new clip has Nas opening up about his pre-rap superstar days. I was expecting to hear about one of the numerous Nasty Nas parties that I remember going to, and then running out of because someone from QB got overly excited with their handguns, lol….But instead, we hear about an illicit project houseparty….gone so wrong! The best part is Nas’ deadpan, raspy delivery, and Kieran O’Hare’s youth angst animation.
You’ve got to check out some of the other “Party Legend” clips…
Epic memories from Snoop Dogg, Tyler the Creator, Atrak, Ken Jeong (Community), more…
After the jump
Ken Jeong reminisces on his days as a real doctor….him and his MD pals were partying in Vegas with strippers….and end up diagnosing them for irritable bowel syndrome, and more. HAHA!!!
Tyler the Creator recalls a party that sounds more like a visit to HELL. Please let me never ever go to a party like this.
Atrak partied in Houston….on Halloween. With Humpty Hump. And a chick in a catwoman suit. You can imagine the surreality.
Snoop Dogg in the Playboy Mansion…of course. With Bishop Don Magic Juan. But one of the Bunnies slipped him a mickey! And Snoop’s revenge was…to have pogo-style sex. *blank stare*

This is so true and frickin’ hilarious. Ozone Mag’s Julia Beverly rounded up Paul Wall, Slim Thug, Killer Mike, Kim Osorio and the homie Mecca for a very exclusive round of “Sh*t rappers say.” Check out all the cliche phrases these rap dudes throw out there on a daily basis.

Who doesn’t love a good Christmas story? Last night, Jimmy Fallon’s Twas The Night Christmas madlib featured some of his famous friends like T.I., Maya Rudolph, Jisee Eisenberg and more. From T.I.’s visions of sweet & sour shrimp to Maya’s unknown love for Herbert Hoover, here’s a random but hilarious holiday treat.

The Royal Wedding is over! I can’t front, Kate Middleton looked beautiful in her white lace dress, designed by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen. I remember seeing Princess Diana’s huge poufy shoulder wedding dress and thinking it was amazing as a child, but over the years, it certainly didn’t stand up as a classic. I think the new Duchess of Cambridge’s will age better. But after the fever-pitch fandom of this mornings Royal Wedding coverage….here’s a more humorous take on Kate and Wills mania from Jagged Edge and Hot97’s Cipha Sounds and Rosenberg Morning Show ; )
A clip from the wedding that…despite what Jagged and Tyler the Creator said…many Americans still gave a s–t about, lol..

Kate Middleton, now The Duchess of Cambridge, walking down the aisle…this video apparently crashed the BBC’s website. I actually love tradition and spectacle like this because I think it gives people these memory markers in life. As long as people don’t take it too far, lol.

Reilly, Jack Black, Rainn Wilson, Rashida Jones, Jason Schwartzman, Ted Danson, Steve Buscemi, Stanley Tucci, Susan Sarandon, Chloë Sevigny and more.

This is the best part about being at the Hot97 station…the bugging out that happens off the air. In this video, it seems that Mr. Cee has challenged Angie Martinez, DJ Enuff and her producer Drewski (who is so hilarious on the low) to some kind of karaoke/lip-synching battle…he didn’t believe they knew the words to the new Chris Brown single “Look At Me Know” featuring Busta Rhymes and Lil Wayne?
I don’t blame Cee! I’m totally floored because:
1) Chris Brown, Busta and Weezy’s verses are super fast. I can barely understand Busta’s, much less repeat it!
2) Angie also manages to count money and set up her lunch while rocking her part.
3) I’m with these guys all the time and I didn’t even know they liked this song that much! What the hell is going on here?! Are they holding secret band practices without telling me?! I’m heated!
And I love how at the end, Mr. Cee reaches in his pocket to pay up! (thanks for the clip, Drewski)
Thank God It’s Friday! Could not have come sooner. This weekend, I’m looking forward to scoffing at the Golden Globe awards every time they mention the fact that anything to do with the movie The Tourist has been nominated for anything. UGH! But Friday is also a good time to recap some of our favorites things…
For one, this twitpic of Cam’ron in a mink coat…
And Rihanna’s healthy sense of humor (“Nicki Minaj…she’s not my roommate, she’s just my sex partner”)…
Also, the massive redesign of our homies at Complex.com, which not only features the new and perfectly timed Seth Rogan cover, but also the solution that I have been begging for since forever…A less painful way of getting through those awesome Complex lists…
Also, I loved this hilarious poster spoof from the newly launched EgotripLand site. (Reminds me of the time those guys had me make sweet love to their Biz Markie puppet. Ok, that sounded weird. But it was.)…
And I’m also happy to have discovered that my old friend Dave Bry (former Vibe editor) writes a series in The Awl called “Public Apology: In which a man grapples with a lifetime of regret, one incident at a time”. I wish I could write this good: ) Make sure you read this entry: “Dear Davida, Sorry for squeezing your hand so tightly at the Gravediggaz concert….”
But along with these things, if you missed last Sunday’s premiere of Bob’s Burgers on Fox, it was Hilarious! And directed by a family friend named Anthony Chun (formerly of The Simpsons and King of the Hill)…Watch the clip above, and tune in this weekend.
Also, I enjoyed watching Vampire Weekend and The Black Keys debating who was the bigger sell-out on The Colbert Report.
Watch, after the jump…
