Earlier today, family and friends said there final good-byes to Whitney Houston during her private funeral at the New Hope Baptist Church in Newark, NJ, which was live stream for fans across the world. Above, Alicia Keys sung “Send Me An Angel” while Stevie Wonder and R. Kelly pay their tributes after the jump.
The stars aligned Monday night as many came together in celebration for the the 5th Annual BET Honors. The event, pre-taped last month at Warner Theatre in Washington, D.C. honored the achievements of legends in music and entertainment, literature, education and more. Among the honorees included Mariah Carey, who was tributed by a cast that included Kelly Rowland, Raekwon, and the great Patti LaBelle. Mariah accepted her award with husband Nick Cannon, and their son Moroccan. In front of an audience that included close friend Randy Jackson and the First Lady Michelle Obama.

It ain’t the first time. While reciting “The People” at his post-Grammy party at LA’s Conga Room, Com brought out Stevie for ”My Cherie Amour” and Whitney’s ”I Wanna Dance With Somebody”.
50 Cent turned things up during X-Factor’s season final earlier tonight. With G-Note artist Governor backing him, 50 performed the standout cut off The Big 10 mixtape, “Wait Until Tonight.” Fif ended his set with a live performance of “In Da Club” with X-Factor contestant Astro, Tony Yayo and members of the Los Angeles Lakers playing background dancers? R. Kelly joined X-Factor finalist Melanie Amaro for an outstanding performance of “I Believe I Can Fly” during last night’s telecast.

Common performed before a pack house last night at the House Of Blues last night in Los Angeles. During his set, he brought out Stevie Wonder and kicked a freestyle. The Dreamer/The Believer in stores now.
Common celebrated the release of his new album at the House of Blues in Los Angeles last night. Those in attendance were in for a surprise when Common returned for an encore performance. Stevie Wonder appeared in front of the sold out crowd and gave a live impromptu performance as Com joined in with a freestyle. The Dreamer, The Believer is out now.

Following their appearance at Cali Christmas on Friday, Drake and Justin Bieber joined the legendary Stevie Wonder at his 16th Annual House Full of Toys benefit concert. Drake, who worked with Stevie on Take Care’s “Doing It Wrong,” performed a medley of “Headlines” and “Best I Ever Had” before sharing a moment on stage at L.A.’s Nokia Theatre with the host.
