T.I. and Usher Preview Their New Song in ‘The Family Hustle’ (Episode 12)
T.I. hits the the studio with Usher to work on a new song for his upcoming Trouble Man album in the latest episode of his reality show. With producer Rico Love controlling the boards, the trio cook up what they feel is a potential hit for TIP’s eighth studio LP. Earlier this month, Rico Love sat down with the good folks over at Rap-Up and expressed confidence in the final result from the ATL heavyweights.
“It’s just a dope, dope collabo. Usher and Tip, two Atlanta natives. This time I finally feel like they got a record that’s gonna be a humongous hit.”

Odd Future Takes Us Into Their Wacky World in ‘Loiter Squad’ (Video)
Odd Future’s busy spring is just beginning. On March 25th, the collective will be taking for a ride with their upcoming Adult Swim television series, Loiter Sqaud. Expect plenty of random mayhem in the crew’s sketch comedy, which you can preview above starring Tyler, The Creator, Jasper, Taco, and Lionel. Also on OF’s upcoming agenda is their The OF Tape Vol. 2 album on March 20th and a nationwide tour beginning March 9th.

One of my oldest friend’s in rap journalism, J. Pablo, put together this dope piece for VIBE. He basically wanted to see what other movies big time rappers were into, besides Scarface, Goodfeallas, Casino, King of New York, etc. P even went the extra step to get all original quotes from 10 rappers, including Jay-z, Common, Q-Tip, Sean Price, 2 Chainz, Vado, Big K.R.I.T., Action Bronson, Raekwon and more. Below, Hov explains why he loves True Romance.
Jay-Z: A lot of our culture is based on individuals trying to keep things as authentic as possible. It’s the main reason that reality shows are the majority of programming nowadays. But in spite of that I think people want the happy ending. Never under estimate the power of a happy ending.

Q Tip on Mean Streets: It’s just to me, the quintessential New York movie. I’m a New Yorker to the fullest and though there are a lot of films set in the city, I really appreciate this one because it’s definitely gangster but deals with loyalty and faith and other themes that are usually on the backburner in gangster flicks. Plus I had a lot of friends like Johnny Boy growing up. Good dudes, who just were fuck ups, y’ know?
Common on Eternal Sunshne of The Mind: This is my favorite movie in which nobody gets killed. I thought conceptually it was great. Instead of dealing with heartbreak, just erase the entire experience… that was genius. Lots of us would use that treatment because love can hurt. I try and include the topic of love in my music because it’s a very big part of our existence. When you can address love and still be humorous and not over do it… that balance is what I try and accomplish with my music.

J. Cole Reacts To ‘Hottest MCs List’; Drake And Fat Joe Give Their Choices (Video)
The most noticeable omission from this year’s ‘Hottest MCs’ nomination list by MTV, many would say is J. Cole. While we’re still stumped, Jermaine spoke with MTV over the weekend and gave his personal reaction. Stay tuned as the #10 artist will be announced later today.
“Yeah I saw the list. I don’t know it’s like, a list is a list. Whether I’m on it or not. Even if I was on it. If I was on that list they would find another person to be up in arms about.”

Drake went a bit left field with his choice, mainly naming Willie The Kid, known for his previous affiliation with DJ Drama as his choice.
Fat Joe breaks down his final three of Drake, Kanye West, and Lil’ Wayne.
Spike Lee’s final choice are Jay-Z and Kanye West, but makes a case for Drake, Wiz Khalifa, and Curren$y.
Tyga’s #1 choice would be J. Cole, with Wale, Big Sean, and Meek Mill also making his list.

New Music: Ed Sheeran Feat. Yelawolf “You Don’t Know” (From Their Upcoming EP)
Lately, 20 year-old singer/songwriter Ed Sheeran has been lighting up UK’s music headlines. With his debut album “+” reaching triple platinum status, and the video release of “Drunk”, Sheeran released the first track off his forthcoming four track collaborative EP with Yelawolf, You Don’t Know (For Fucks Sake). Sheeran seems to add a soothing melodic rhythm on the chorus, blended by Yelawolf’s rapid fire rapping. The collaborative EP, Slumdon Bridge is due to release next month.
